Simply Thai Menu redesign

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Menu redesigns for Simply Thai Restaurant. Simply Thai is one of the best places to eat in Louisville, and is one of Louisville’s best kept secrets. This is unfortunately due to it’s tiny space in St. Matthews. After doing some web work for them, these menus were created. To date, they have not been used, though it may be possible if/when ST moves into a new location they are scouting.

This menu design was also used as a class project during my senior year of college (And received a very good grade, I may add). And before anyone says a word about using Papryus – that’s what the shop’s original wordmark was set in.

FACET promos

Monday, August 10th, 2009

FACET (Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching)) is a organization of Indiana University faculty. All members are tenured professors who have proved distinguished in their field. The idea was to photograph each FACET member in attendance and then have computers set up so they could manipulate the photos themselves. So not only did I get to take photos of over 100 people, but also teach them how to use photoshop (and in many cases, as crash course to the Mac OS). Over the course of two days, we managed to get just about everyone in. In 2009, FACET was to take all the photos that were compiled and create a poster from the images.
